Yes, I survived Midlife. Was it a crisis? I don’t think so. My experience was not ‘a crisis’, but rather a liberating metamorphosis.
Much of my fifties was me trying to leave behind living a life that was prescribed by parents, friends, culture…others. I didn’t really understand this about myself until now.
60, I find myself courageously stepping into the life I am fully enjoying and comfortable with, with no real likeness to what others expected from me.
60 years for me to let go of the limitations I put on myself more than anything else! I am becoming and claiming my true self.
